The Weekend Recap

Believe it or not, even though I was born and raised in Hoboken, just across the river from New York City, this weekend was my first time walking across the Brooklyn Bridge.  My sister in law (who is visiting from Argentina) had this on her to do list, so I took her.  Besides the unruly hair due to the high winds and almost getting run over twice by cyclists zipping by, seemingly oblivious to us pedestrians, it was a fun a day.  We took the subway to Brooklyn and walked over to Manhattan which makes for the best views.

Our walking trip continued through Chinatown, Little Italy, SoHo, and Tribeca.  We stopped at ITALIAN FOOD CENTER  for a combo sandwich and a birra rossa.  Although the bread for the sandwich was a little dry, it was still tasty and topped with a spicy pepper jam which I loved.  We walked off lunch window shopping through SoHo and stopped for a coffee break in Tribeca.

Although my sister in law cut my feet off in every picture she took, my shoes were super comfy all day!  I love that they match my grey camo sweatshirt perfectly.  The bag I am wearing is actually one of the first gifts my husband ever gave me.  It’s an ARGENTINIAN BRAND CALLED PRUNE and he had brought it back for me from a trip to Argentina.  I recently discovered that a A NEW SHOP IN TOWN carries some Prune bags.  I am so excited to check them out.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend just as much.  xoxo
