One of my favorite things to do in San Diego is plan a day to visit Little Italy.  It’s full of trendy boutiques and some great food.  My sister took me to THIS COOL HOME STORE with great artwork and stylish home decor.  I wish I had a bigger suitcase to carry stuff home, but then again it’s probably a good thing I don’t.  We had brunch at BENCOTTO, an Italian restaurant known for its  fresh pastas, but choose a light lunch of soup and salad instead.  The Asparugus soup was so delicious and creamy (even though it was cream free), it’s definitely a dish I will try to recreate at home.  No trip to Little Italy would be complete without a stop at Mona Lisa, an old school Italian deli and grocery store where we stocked up on cheese, wine, and meat.

Since we spent the whole day in the city, I made sure to wear comfy shoes and layer.  San Diego weather is beautiful, but it can be hot during the day and cooler at night.  This breezy dress kept me cool while shopping and the jean jacket was perfect for the night breeze.

  1. Little Italy is awesome, I wish New York's was as cute as San Diego's.
